However, because it is not a fan fiction, I nearly hate this book. Now, if this were truly a fan fiction, I think I would really like it. It’s an adaptation of a Japanese film called Song to the Sun, or Taiyô no uta. And, upon further research, it basically is. While reading Midnight Sun I couldn’t help but feel like I was reading a fan fiction. She’s confined to only the company of her father and her friend, until she goes out to play one night. The slightest touch from the sun could be deadly for her.
Midnight Sun follows the story of a girl, Katie Price, who has a rare disease. Midnight Sun by Trish Cook was published February 6th, 2018 and made a film in March of 2018.
